Thanks, yes, davmail is a possible alternative. I used it for a while but stopped using it as it was no better than a direct link with Outlook for searching (which was my reason for trying it then). Not sure if it worked better with respect to the agent system or not, mind you. I may try it again just to see as I still have the configuration. But I am keen to try the nnml solution first as that would minimize my actual interactions with Outlook, always a good thing!
