Suggestion:
I'm not sure if this was ever discussed before in the mailing list,
but given the frequency of Red Gnus releases, it might be a good idea
to also post patches... either on the mailing list or at the ftp site.
It's kind of painful to have to download 736Kb or so every time,
especially if you have a slow link.
What do people think?

definitely very nice ot be able to do this. Makes life much easier for
people upgrading. I don't do emacs-w3 releases quite as often as lars does
for gnus (don't you have a real job yet lars, you're making me look bad!),
but I still make patches available. I can send you the diff script I use
if you'd like lars. Just say 'makediff 80 81' and it creates a patch in
./diffs/patch81.gz

This started happening in 0.81:
When I quit from an nnml group (which has the side effect of
expiring old messages) I get: "Symbol's value as variable is void:
nnml-article-to-file-alist", and the "quit" doesn't complete. That
symbol appears only once in gnus 0.81, on line 269 of nnml.el and is
nowhere to be found in 0.80.
The debug trace is:
Signaling: (void-variable nnml-article-to-file-alist)

You can get the patches from the web site:
http://www.ifi.uio.no/~larsi/ding-patches/
I would be happy to set up a ding-patches mailing list; the patches usually
aren't that large.

It looks like a typo. I'm using this patch:

Can't Lars just include the patches in the ChangeLog entries? :-)
