One title there is misleading:

"Gnus doesn't support MIME decoding".

Gnus does indeed support MIME decoding.

What the Gnus IMAP backend does not support, is download of individual
MIME separated message parts, even though that is functionality
supported by the IMAP spec.

Don't know how to put that more compactly, but the current title should
be changed.
