Readable mail has lines like this: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-2022-JP Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: Becky! ver 1.25.06 There are no such lines in the unreadable mail. I know that I can't get my correspondents to change their MUAs. How can I make gnus recognize the Japanese anyway? It is readable as Japanese straight from the disk, so there must be a way! Dave
