Subject: mail headers: what's allowable?
Date: 25 Feb 1999 12:54:05 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <yqkk678qqshu.fsf@nd.edu> (raw)
Hi,
After seeing mail headers like
X-Now-Reading: Italo Calvinos _Usynlige byer_
I am led to the questions: What is allowable for a mail header? What
is the syntax? For example, how about
X-Spook: Peking CIA Waco, Texas Semtex Ft. Bragg radar Honduras
Soviet strategic explosion genetic cryptographic Panama South
Africa assassination
as produced by 'M-x spook'?
I suspect that having entries longer than one line is bad, but can
someone confirm this?
