Create a text file called foo with one line it it like hello world create a directory bar that contains only one symbolic link. Edit foo with edbrowse, you get the byte count and the one line of text. Then read in the directory bar r bar The byte count is not printed after read. Other than that it all seems normal. Only this weird combination of things causes the byte count to not print. Karl Dahlke
