Hi people,
Today I solved a problem relating to my c++ compiler failing on the
simple test program for tidy 5.6.0, and want to report the solution,
together with an apology.
Turns out that many months ago I was fiddling with ways to invoke c++
related to some other problem, and in the course of that fiddling,
I created an export statement like this:
export CXX=/usr/bin/cpp
Don't ask me why, I have no idea, and don't ask me why I never removed
that statement whenn the fiddling was done.
Today I removed that piece of stupidity, and now the stock edbrowse
sources from github and the tidy-html 5.6.0 compile and install without
error. I'm embarrassed to confess it, but mea culpa, that's for sure.
Chuck
