What about this idea for a function? It will be called, say, `howm-create-named-file', and bound to `N' in howm-view-summary-mode and to `C-c , N' globally; when called interactively it will ask for a filename in the minibuffer, like this: (let ((default-directory "/tmp/")) (call-interactively (lambda (&rest) (interactive "FHowm file name: ")))) and the default directory will be either `howm-directory' or, in howm-view-summary-mode, the directory of the file at point, or, in howm-view-contents-mode, the current directory... if the file already exists it is visited, and if it doesn't exist yet it is created with the adequate template... I tried to create a function like that, but I got stuck and I figured that it would be more fun to post a request to the list... :) Cheers, and maybe thanks in advance, :) Eduardo Ochs http://angg.twu.net/ -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Send your email first class
