I implemented howm-open-named-file in the latest test version (test-051112).
http://howm.sourceforge.jp/a/howm-test.tar.gz

As "C-c , N" is already used, "C-c , M" is bound
to it (howm-open-naMed-file) instead.
In general, new ideas are implemented as hidden features at first;
they aren't documented officially in README until sufficient test
will be done.

I hope you'll enjoy it.

# Any requests, complaints, ideas, dreams, etc. are welcome,
# as long as you agree that I have no *duty* to realize them. :-)
