Is there any known issue with this printer via direct socket and postscript?
I'm sure I've been able to print on it postscript files for ages on old Sun Solaris 10 with cups 2.2.1, with raw model, and they still works today.
Tried with recent illumos systems, both sparc and x86, and this only printer get stuck jobs in the queue with printer web interface notifying something like "error receiving data".
Nothing is found in logs, queue just stays there until you cancel or it times out.
Everything goes fine with other printers, or from Solaris 10 on old sparc hardware.
