[discuss] FOSDEM25 - illumos & friends dinner

Dear illumos & friends,

FOSDEM [1], one of the biggest free and open source conferences in Europe, is scheduled for 1 & 2 February 2025. In the past years we were lucky enough to provide a illumos stand and share our knowledge and information with lot’s of people. But sadly FOSDEM is overbooked and could not provide a stand for illumos in 2025 (again).

But anyway I think FOSDEM is a good place to meet, share ideas, present, hack around or simple drink Belgian beer.

For that reason another illumos & friends dinner is planed for Friday, 31. January.

I’ve not checked for all restaurants yet but I’m sure we will find a nice spot. The current plan is to have dinner at:

- Friday, 31. January 
- Around 20:00 o’clock
- In the city center (next to central station)

  As for this one, why not Delirium Cafe?

  The night before FOSDEM starts there, and then people forget what
happened :) But it is overly crowded and loud, so I don't think I was
inside more than twice, and it's near impossible to find anyone specific if
you did not arrive together.

  Alternately, back then Andy suggested BrewDog (near Bruxelles-Central, a
short walk from Delirium), I believe, and it was also good.
