[discuss] Loader howto blacklist driver ?

Hi,
trying to boot from a recent Openindiana-Iso, but cannot, because
the relevant driver_aliases entry (hermon "pciex15b3,36") is missing.
I know I can boot without the hermon driver (I have one X6275 with
a defect mellanox device), so looking for a way to blacklist the
driver. In Grub, this is done by adding -B disable-hermon, but
there seems no option to add that to the loader boot parameters
on the fly while booting from an ISO. Is this possible somehow ?

But where can I enter this in the loader boot process ?

ok boot -B disable-….

or for permanent setup, you can just do like:

echo 'disable-hermon=“true”’  > /boot/conf.d/hermon

Thanks, that works ! Found out that it also doesn't hang on nearly
every command when just booting to single user mode (nwamd would
not shut down because it seemingly hangs on IB connection detection).
