Is there perhaps a way to tell gnus to not retrieve *all*
the mail messages that are on my mail website but only, say,
the first 20?
I have a large amount of mail still waiting to be fetched from
internet and I wish it could be possible to get it gradually by chunks.

Thanks for any help,
Rodolfo

I just saw that
an easy way to partially retrieving e-mail (without bothering
gnus) is to transfer all the messages that are on the site in
another folder, and then transport 20 messages in the main folder,
and from there gnus will fetch them.
