In gnus how do you explain to complete novices
how to set up mail ?... there are so many variables
to consider at the outset that require understanding
before getting from step one to step two!

It appears that all the available explanations of how to set up
mail in gnus use jargon and require a level of understanding
about variables that the complete novice would not know already.

There has got to be a way to explain things better!
