Breaking into groups!

Xemacs 21.4.10 on Debian Woody. Oort Gnus 0.0.8 

When I try to go into a group from the group buffer I get the following
error backtrace:-

It makes no difference whether its a mail or new group, whether or not
there are new articles.   To get into the group I have to hit Return
twice.  

Can anyone give me any pointers on this?

Wasn't this fixed?  Oh, it wasn't.  In gnus-tree-highlight-node (in
gnus-salt.el) there is a let* statement.  Add (downloaded nil) in
there and this should be a workaround for the moment.
