Nothing. Or, almost nothing. It didn't sort the articles the way I
wanted it, but, after little modification:

(setq gnus-thread-sort-functions
'(gnus-thread-sort-by-number
(not gnus-thread-sort-by-date)))
---
it worked just fine! Phew, finaly! :-).
