I think that problem could be solved. Do you want to try again? You could M-x toggle-debug-on-error RET before the error happens, then make the error happen, then look at the resulting backtrace. (Or post it here.) You could also try to remove the *.elc files before starting Emacs so that you get a more informative backtrace. -- Ambibibentists unite!
