Thanks again Volkan. It's a bug at Gmail's end, nothing else can explain it. I had this problem before... it has to do with their POP3 options. There are three: 1. "Enable POP3 for _all_ mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)" [by which they mean 'archived', I believe] 2. "Enable POP3 for mail that arrived from now on. 3. Disable POP3. Gmail's POP3 servers get 'stuck' sometimes and you have to toggle the first two options to get them going... at least that's what I hope it is. I'll know more soon. Sebastian
