Subject: all Bcc's then bye-bye message-courtesy-message
Date: Sun, 09 Mar 2003 03:50:30 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87adg5ocxl.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
What they tell you is
message-courtesy-message's value is
"The following message is a courtesy copy of an article
that has been posted to bla.bla.newsgroup as well."
This is inserted at the start of a mailed copy of a posted message.
What they don't tell you is you at least need one CC: to make it work.
If all you have are Bcc's the recipients will think you are sending
the message just to them for some reason, with no explanation.
They are supposed to sniff out the Newsgroups header to know what is up.
message-courtesy-message's value is not in Info too.
