Subject: What does `local' file keep track of
Date: Fri, 19 Feb 2010 15:23:14 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87d400q5rx.fsf@newsguy.com> (raw)

What does the file at:

  News/agent/nntp/news.gmane.org/agent.lib/local

keep track of?

It looks like it might have the same numbers that appear on

  News/agent/nntp/news.gmane.org/agent.lib/active

Only in different order.

What I'm looking for is a way to manually fix the ever increasing
difference between the real number of new messages and the number
shown by gnus when it asks how many articles you want to see.
