No Gnu/ lynx and utf8

hey,

I use no gnu to read my mails. When the mail is html, I use lynx. I am
facing with some problems since  I have changed my locales to utf8.

The "raw" (text) is correctly displayed (i mean accents are correct),
but when I use the html rendering, accents are lost.

do you know how and if I have to specify to make gnu/lynx aware of
utf8
