Subject: gnus-nofifications popus in Ubuntu
Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2014 06:54:49 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87ob19s4t2.fsf@free.fr> (raw)

In Gnome 3, gnus-notifications displays informations about new messages
in some notification area on the bottom of the screen (see
julien.danjou.info/blog/2012/gnus-notifications)

In Unity (Ubuntu default display manager) a new notification window
popups for each new message, complete with read/close/ignore
buttons. This is quite annoying when you have many new messages, you get
as many windows to close with a click. Is there a way to have
gnus-notifications use the OSD system ?

Julien.
