Now she can see a spam of new mail groups! :-) I guess the gnus-group-find-new-groups function behind the F key should normally be called automatically in some dark hooks... We will see if she has to use F again or if she will get the new mail group automatically next time. Thanks a lot. -- Ronan KERYELL ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread

I think this has basically been fixed in Emacs 24. Any new mail groups should automatically appear without hitting the `F' key. -- (domestic pets only, the antidote for overdose, milk.) http://lars.ingebrigtsen.no * Lars Magne Ingebrigtsen ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread
* No new mail group creation in *Group* buffer @ 2012-09-05 15:06 Ronan Keryell 0 siblings, 0 replies; 4+ messages in thread From: Ronan Keryell @ 2012-09-05 15:06 UTC (permalink / raw) To: info-gnus-english A colleague of mine has a weird behaviour with her GNUS for years now (so it is not related to a recent GNUS or Emacs version): the new mail groups do not show up in the *Group* buffer, either with L or l. New mail input groups are created either by nnmail-split-fancy and output mail groups are created through gnus-message-archive-method (far more common). Of course the mails are here and we can browse them with G d, which all but user-friendly. She has basically the same configuration files as me so I suspect some glitch in the .newsrc.eld. Any pointers about where to dig into? Thank you, -- Ronan KERYELL ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread
