suddenly, i can't post from gnus to gnu.emacs.help. i posted there
yesterday, and posted a reply this morning. now, when i try to post
there, gnus hangs until the connection times out. i can post to
alt.test. and if you see this message, it means i can post here.
Gnus v5.9.0
GNU Emacs 21.3.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, Motif Version 2.1.30) of
2005-01-24 on ellen
any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

Fun experiments:
Get a can of shaving cream, throw it in a freezer for about a week.
Then take it out, peel the metal off and put it where you want...
bedroom, car, etc. As it thaws, it expands an unbelievable amount.
