Subject: new group has msgs but can't find them
Date: Tue, 31 Jan 2017 23:25:18 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87y3xqedw1.fsf@nyu.edu> (raw)

I created nnml:2016.01jan and moved all my jan 2016 mail into it.
This worked fine.

I then did the same for nnml:2016.02feb
This worked fine.

I then did the same for nnme:2016.03mar
This is weird

The group buffer shows it empty
             0: nnml:2016.01jan (806)
             0: nnml:2016.02feb (937)
             0: nnml:2016.03mar (0)

BUT

1. The directory /home/gottlieb/Mail/2016/03mar has 1000+ messages
in it and a .overview file

2. I can see all 1000+ messages in the nndir group
         *: nndir:/home/gottlieb/Mail/2016/03mar (1124)

3. I tried to move from the nndir to the currently "empty" nnml
    but nndir doesn't support moving

I would greatly appreciate help in making the march messages
appear in the nnml group.

Below I print the (normally visible portion) of my *Group* buffer
in case someone sees something suspicious.

thanks in advance.
allan
