A real pain. My emacs crashed and I lost my topics configuration. Is
there a way to recover?

Thank you in advance for your help

So you lost your ~/.newsrc.eld?

When running the bleeding edge version of Emacs you surely have a
backup. So restore the backup of ~/.newsrc.eld (and ~/.newsrc).

Bye, Reiner.

I created my topic again so I don't know the status of my
~/.newsrc.eld

I know that I lost topic configuration and newsgroups subscription. Next
time I will look that file.

The topics configuration is stored in ~/.newsrc.eld

I in mind a real backup of your home directory. But there's
`gnus-backup-startup-file' and (info "(emacs)Backup"):

,----[ (info "(gnus)Startup Files") ]
| The `gnus-startup-file' variable says where the startup files are.
| The default value is `~/.newsrc', with the Gnus (El Dingo) startup file
| being whatever that one is, with a `.eld' appended. If you want
| version control for this file, set `gnus-backup-startup-file'. It
| respects the same values as the `version-control' variable.
`----

Bye, Reiner.
