Strange : even with
(setq gnus-permanently-visible-groups "[nnmaildir,gnu].*")
then nnmaildir or gnu groups disappear if I unsuscribe from them and hit
"l"
Maybe the fact that I use leafnode as the local nntp server makes a
difference? Someone?
