Subject: Installation of Gnus 5.10.2 on Debian Woody

Hi,
I'm running Emacs version 20.7.2.
I have installed the Gnus-deb package. It is a Gnus 5.8.8 but I need
Sieve support to use together with my Cyrus IMAPD. Therefore I would
like to install the Gnus 5.10.2.
When I run the 'configure' I get the following message:
checking where .elc files should go... $(datadir)/emacs/site-lisp
As far as I can see the present installation has the .elc files in
'emacs/20.7/site-lisp/gnus' and the .el files in 'emacs/site-lisp/gnus'.
This makes me wonder whether the files will be put the right directories
if I run the make ?
Do anybody here have any experienceses with this ? The tarball I use was
downloaded from gnus.org.
Best regards
