Hi,

you may also customize your group properties (cursor on the respective
line in the group buffer):

  G c runs the command gnus-group-customize
    which is an interactive autoloaded Lisp function in `gnus-cus'.
  It is bound to G c, <menu-bar> <Group> <Customize>.
  [Arg list not available until function definition is loaded.]

  Not documented.

Toggle

  [ ] Permanently visible
  Always display this group, even when there are no unread articles in it.

and leave the customize buffer with "done".
