Subject: Smart date format
Date: Tue, 15 Oct 2002 11:33:08 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <aohcfk$7oi$1@netnews.upenn.edu> (raw)
I want a date format for the summary buffer that adjusts to the time of
the message like Mozilla's newsreader. Mozilla does the following
Posted today-> 10:48 AM
Posted before today-> 10/14/2002 10:22 PM
Posted after today -> 10/17/2002 11:27 AM
This is nice because the dates are small for recent messages, which are
the majority of the messages I see.
I'm using Gnus 5.09. I can handle emacs-lisp in small doses but I've
never written a large chunk of emacs-lisp code.
