Does that mean articles with a matching article in the "in-reply-to" header? Anyway, it looks like you can nail children using "followup", and you can kinda sorta nail all descendents using "thread" (which keys on the "references" header), but I don't see a straightforward way to nail certain articles, their children, and their grandchildren. The docs seem to suggest that "thread" does that, implying that "followup" does something else.
