Subject: delete articles now
Date: 05 Apr 2002 10:44:53 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m2elhu27a2.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
C-c C-x runs the command gnus-group-expire-articles
which is an interactive compiled Lisp function in `gnus-group'.
(gnus-group-expire-articles &optional N)
Expire all expirable articles in the current newsgroup.
------------------
alas, it doesn't tell you what the N means, nor are we told how to
make files get removed now instead of days later... I am about to do
backups, I want to clear the junk just this once now.
Oh, I found (gnus-summary-expire-articles-now).
OK, I tried it and it makes a scary message making you think that it
is about to delete all the articles in your mailbox when its Help says
it will only delete the "expiable articles".
