No such function: nnvirtual-request-list

I'm using Emacs 24.3 on Mac OSX.  When I try to create a foreign group
using 'B' in the Group buffer I get the follwing error:

No such function: nnvirtual-request-list

To my surprise, a Google search didn't turn up a link to anyone
experiening this error.  "nnvrtual.el" is loaded and I notice a number
of similar functions located there but not this one.  Any ideas what might
be causing this error?

Use `G v' to add groups to the virtual group.  I think this is all
explained in the manual.

OK.  This creates an "empty group" which I simply namd "Inboxes".  When
I try to open it it says "Couldn't open server".

Hi, Lars.

I enter "nnvirtual", then the regexp when prompted for the address, in
this case "^.*\:INBOX$".  The error occurs afterwards. It doesn't seem
to be dependent upon the regexp.  I have created foreign groups of other
types on the machine which do work (e.g. nnimap).

Do you get that error immediately, or do you enter "nnvirtual" at the
prompt?
