Easy way to make a foreign group

Hello !

I am always losing myself when I try to create a foreign group. What
is the easy way to create one (for example for some imap server) _and_
to specify some additonnal parameters like login, password, SSL
connection, etc. ?

OK, I understand how it works now. I don't understand why certain
servers are marked as read-only or not editable. And why the news
server is seen as primary select methods and all the others as
secondary. But I can live without understanding this :)
