Yes.  There's no point in including a misleading header.  The only
caveat is that maybe Gnus will complain if you try to cancel or
supersede your own messages.

(add-to-list 'message-syntax-checks '(sender . disabled))

If Gnus generates them, they can be used for scoring.  If you don't use
that, it doesn't matter if Gnus or qmail generates them.
