It "Sure Would Be Nice" (TM) if gnus could be made "multitasking"so that message transmission is done in the background while control of gnus is returned immediately back to the user. An auxiliary buffer could be maintained with the result of the transmission so that the user could come back at a later time and check to see that the message was successfully transmitted. Good idea?
