Gnus pop3 error

Gnus pop3 error

Hi all,

I have exactly the same configure file on two machines: one works
perfectly and the other has a few issues. They both run emacs CVS
20060608 and the default gnus 5.11. One of the errors is:

For the record, url-configuration-directory needs to exist for ssl to
work properly.

By the way, is there an alternative to ssl.el i.e. can I use ssl
without ssl.el?
