Ok, second try. I highly suspect what you're calling "extremly
garbled" is exactly what I see too :-) (from the original article,
minus the greek unicode chars, in case you don't have the font) Emacs
decodes it ok outside of gnus (when saved and opened in utf-8), or in
gnus too, when you remove the "format=flowed" from the headers.

Erm... If you commited that but didn't apply the Jesper's patch too in
<news:m3d6nce3cx.fsf@defun.localdomain>, it won't work.

As a matter of fact, as long as we don't get a sharp picture of what
all that mule4/mule5 trickery in mm code is doing, we're patching
blindly.

That patch is too big to apply without copyright assignments to the
FSF.  Do you have such papers on file, or could you sign such papers?
