Yes, I've seen those.  I'm not sure what is going on but Gnus/PGG
don't recognise them as having been PGP signed.  Try to convince your
friends to sign their emails properly using PGP/MIME.  Or, even
better, convince them to use Gnus for mail/news. :-P

In the meantime, seeing as though you still need Mailcrypt for XEmacs'
PUI [1], just define a key in `gnus-summary-mode-map' to do
`mc-verify'.
