Subject: simplest configuration for spooled news/mail?
Date: Sat, 17 Aug 2002 14:13:21 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <slrnalse7p.6ad.ino-e7556fe8@spotteswoode.dnsalias.org> (raw)

i'm running emacs-21.2 with builtin gnus on a freebsd-pc. both news and
email arrive filtered in spool areas (~/.mail/ and /news/, with .overview
files in each news-directory, no overview for email).

could someone please tell me the simplest setup to just get gnus up? btw,
the most recent w3-4.0pre.47 also doesn't work. i had first thought this
be due to having built emacs without X11, but this is not the case, they
only fail at different locations ...

thanks,

clemens
