* nnvirtual expiry problem

I use an nnvirtual group to view a group of folders. When I run
gnus-group-expire-all-groups, it fails with the error attached below. I
can't figure out what could be wrong here.

I was wondering if I can disable expiry on nnvirtual groups
altogether. These groups go through expiry process individually anyway, so
I don't need expiry on these groups at all.
Any ideas?
