gnutls and gnus

gnutls and gnus

Hi,

I followed the instructions here:
http://www.pvv.ntnu.no/~terjeros/wiki/GnusGmail

and no matter what I get: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command
first when using smtp.gmail.com.

I have: 

GNU Emacs 22.0.99.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2007-04-24 on LENNART-69DE564 (patched)
gnutls-1.7.8.exe.

Any help will be appreciated.

starttls program?

I went through hoops to get this stuff working under Linux and *never*
knew which "tinker" got it working in the end.

As far as I understand gnutls and starttls do the same thing. The
thing is that the starttls program

Sorry for the unfinished e-mail.

As far as I understand gnutls and starttls do the same thing. The
thing is that the starttls program needs compilation and I don't have
the environment to do that on my Windows. Is it for sure that it is
what I need in the upper case?

I dont know. I do know that I dont have gnutls installed.
