Probably the effect of non-nil `gnus-confirm-treat-mail-like-news' and 
`gnus-confirm-mail-reply-to-news' could be achieved by setting
`gnus-confirm-mail-reply-to-news' to some fancy regexp.

Sounds reasonable to me.  I'll suggest it on the ding mailing list.
