Advanced BBDB use

Hi all,

I have an extra field within my bbdb database. Is there any easy way of
putting together a mail with only the recipients whose records match a
condition on my new field? Looking around the docs hasn't upturned
anything inspiring.

I think you should use `mail-alias':

| `mail-alias' field to their record.  You may have multiple aliases for
| the same person; simply separate them with commas.

I use it as follows:

;; Define mail aliases for some of the records in the database.

BTW:

Huch?  Emacs 22 includes a more recent an less buggy version of Gnus
compared to Oort Gnus 0.24 (= Gnus 5.10.1): Gnus 5.11 (which
corresponds to Gnus 5.10.8 + several bug fixes).
