However now I miss xbiff and the alike which informed me that I have new mail. I can run gnus-group-get-new-news periodically, but when I am editing a another buffer I don't notice, whether new mail has arrived, is there anyway that gnus could inform me that new mail arrived on the imap server? Thanks Uwe Brauer ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

My favourite is wmbiff (WindowMaker dockapp) which really kicks ass: ,----[ [23:08][marcus@xenon:~]$ apt-cache show wmbiff ] | At this moment, wmbiff supports unix-style, maildir, pop3, APOP, IMAP | and IMAPS mailboxes, as well as Licq and GnomeICU history files. `---- Regards, Marcus -- "Insect, cease your meddling.
