I don't understand.   

When I press 'F' in a group with 'to-address' defined, the reply goes to
the list; when I press 'R', the reply goes to the author.

F runs the command gnus-summary-followup-with-original
R runs the command gnus-summary-reply-with-original

And my group parameters for ding are:

((to-address . "ding@gnus.org"))

I've done some debugging and found out that Yahoogroups sets a
Reply-To to the list. I made a quick experiment with broken-reply-to
as Group Parameter and it seems to work as expected.

I.e. the problem is not Gnus but Yahoogroups, (broken-reply-to . t)
solves it.
