Can I make a given group "active", in the sense that all the usual
operations can be performed on it (e.g. posting to it) but its count
isn't checked at startup? For example, right now I've got my
activate-level set to 1, and my default-list-level set to 1 as
well. This way, only the groups I read regularly are checked at
startup. However, if I want to post to a group which *isn't* at level
1, I get problems. Could be related to the fact the the group in
question is a member of a virtual group which *is* at level 1, but
still..
