A little off topic, but if you use 'G p' to set your group parameters to
such variables I imagine it saves them in .newsrc.eld.  But if you
un-subscribe to a group, and then re-subscribe to it, you lose the
parameters you used to have - is there any way round this?

I personally like to keep all the group parameters neat and tidy with
each group, rather than have them clutter up my .gnus.
