Subject: mandoc-1.13.2 released
Date: Sat, 13 Dec 2014 16:25:20 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20141213152520.GF22846@iris.usta.de> (raw)

Hello,

mandoc = mdocml 1.13.2 is now publicly available
from <http://mdocml.bsd.lv/>.

This is both a maintenance release and a feature release.
The intention is to make the 1.13 series even more robust and
portable. Many bugs have been fixed, a fallback implementation of
fts(3) is now included for systems lacking it, and no new dependencies
are required, so it should be easy now to use the database components
on most platforms.

New features include an implementation of the man(1) manual
viewer, a unified set of command line options, better gzip(1)
support, better Unicode support, and HTML5 and MathML output,
see <http://mdocml.bsd.lv/NEWS> for details.

Upgrading from both 1.12.4 and 1.13.1 to 1.13.2 is recommended for
all systems. The 1.12 series will not be continued. In case you
don't have SQLite3, set BUILD_DB=0 in configure.local; see
<http://mdocml.bsd.lv/INSTALL> for details.

Special thanks to Kristaps Dzonsons for the new eqn(7) parser and
HTML5 and MathML output, to Jonathan Gray for extensive testing
with afl (the American Fuzzy Lop security fuzzer), and to
Thomas Klausner, Martin Natano, and Carsten Kunze for release
testing.

Yours,
  Ingo
