This is a significant release in that it has locale support following work at BSDCan-2011. Please see the Makefile for locale requirements. You can test locale support on your system by running the following on a localised manual: % mandoc -Tlocale foo.1 % mandoc -Tutf8 foo.1 If the manual is in UTF-8, you can also use the new preconv utility to recode it into mandoc-capable input on the fly: % preconv -e utf-8 foo.1 | mandoc -Tlocale I tested on downloaded Japanese and Russian manuals as follows: % iconv -f euc-jp -t utf-8 foo.1 | \ preconv -e utf-8 | mandoc -Tlocale For a full list of changes, see http://mdocml.bsd.lv/ChangeLog.html. An abbreviated list of changes is on the NEWS section of the web-site. As usual, sources are at http://mdocml.bsd.lv/snapshots/mdocml.tar.gz.
